Special Acknowledgement of Appreciation
More than two decades after The Champlin Foundation helped build Hasbro Children’s Hospital, they continue to be by our side as a generous community partner. The Foundation recently awarded Hasbro Children’s Hospital an extraordinary grant of $1,000,000 to the Every Child, Every Day Campaign. This funding will specifically support renovations to Hasbro. We are so grateful to The Champlin Foundation. Their tremendous generosity is helping us to fulfill our promise to the children and families who rely on us.
Not only has Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) been a provider of world class medical imaging since 1943, but for the past 40 years they have also provided leadership philanthropic support to Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Bradley Hospital and Lifespan, including their recent gift to the Every Child, Every DayCampaign. Through their generosity, numerous centers of excellence across adult and pediatric services have been impacted.
Introducing the Judge Bruce M. and Cynthia M. Selya,
Integrated Care Unit
On December 1, 2017 a naming dedication took place for two wings on the sixth floor of Hasbro Children’s Hospital. This was the result of a significant Campaign leadership gift from the Selyas that is transforming patient care, teaching and research in the medical/psychiatric integrated care unit, which will now be known as Selya 6.
As the first Chairman of the Lifespan Foundation, Judge Selya recognized the importance of growing the unique partnership between Bradley and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals to treat the entire child. Today, the integrated care unit does just that and is gaining recognition as a national model. Gone are the days when diagnoses were isolated to mental or physical health. Incredible advances in science and medicine have taught us that we must treat the entire child to successfully deliver health with care.
